18. I've had my TSC certification for years and see that those who pass the updated TSC exam earn both the CSP and TSC certifications. How might I also earn the CSP certification?

- No. Any CE hours earned can apply to both certifications.
20. I had my CSP certification for three years, and have obtained the required 30 hours of CE. What do I need to do to complete my renewal?
- To renew your certification, please complete the online renewal application and submit the application fee. Once processed, ASA will send you a letter that will include your next renewal deadline.
21. I won't be able to earn the 30 CE hours by my renewal deadline. What can I do?
- You can retake the CSP or TSC exam, which will extend your maintenance period for another three years.
22. How are CE hours calculated?
- Hours are based on the actual instructional time of approved events.
- Example 1—Participate in a live Webinar that is an hour long. You will earn one hour of active CE credit.
- Example 2—You are listening to a recording of a program that was originally a live, two-hour session. You will earn two hours of passive CE credit.
- Breaks and lunch do not count toward credit hours.
23. I did not pass the exam. How many times can I retake the exam, and is there a cost to do so?
- You can retake the exam as many times as necessary. You must purchase the exam within 90 days of your first attempt in order to receive the discounted rate of $119. After those 90 days, you must pay the full exam fee of $149 (for ASA members).
24. I recently renewed my certification, will I receive another certificate?
